# PS4 App stuck at Plex logo

Server Version#: 4.30.2
Player Version#:2.01
For the past few days, when I try opening the Plex app on my ps4, it gets stuck on either the screen with just the plex logo or a blank black screen. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app as well as removing the ps4 from my authorized devices to try and force it to go to a log in screen but nothing has changed. The app and ps4 system software are updated to the latest versions.

Exact same issue here… After years of this working without issue, PLEX just won’t load on the PS4.
The PLEX logo will appear, then disappear. It’ll just be a black screen and hang, or the PLEX logo will re-appear then hang.

I am currently having the same issue for the first time after using Plex on the PS4 for years. Started on Aug 4th.
I have hard-reset my console, uninstalled and re-installed Plex and no luck. It simply will not load the application.

New development:
I managed to solve this by removing any PS4’s from my Authorized Devices (there were two for some reason) and then re-logging into the client. Works fine now as far as I can tell.

Same issue for me. No fix works. Every other device on my network works but the PS4 doesn’t. Insecure connections are set to be allowed etc. Can’t get passed the logo on PS4

I am experiencing the same issue. After years of little problem, Plex no longer launches on PS4. There have been no recent updates to either the PS4 system or the Plex app. Both on the most recent versions. I have removed the PS4 from client list and reinstalled. It will launch the first time after reinstalling, but freezes again the second time.
