Server Version#: QNAP TS-1655 (QTS) v5.2.0.2802 (2024/06/20) Player Version#: **Plex Web Version 4.134.2** GPU#: NVIDIA Corporation TU106 (GeForce GTX 1650) - Set to QTS Mode **Goal:** Use Raid 1 2TB storage pool/vol I created JUST for PLEX web stream transcoding. **Drive Config:** Raid 1 volume with 2 x 2TB SSD with folder /transcode (2TB is size free) **PLEX Config:** Have GPU transcoding set. Set Transcoding temporary directory to /transcode. See image below ![image](https://global.discourse-cdn.com/plex/original/4X/a/d/0/ad02da330c801ea4d094a4a272676a433435aa93.png) **Issue:** When I stream something that requires transcoding, I get a playback Error with message “Not enough disk space to convert this item.” I go look beneath /transcode and I do see that the following folder structure was created, so seems I have the path correct but cannot understand the issue as I have plenty of free space. /transcode/Transcode/ /Sessions Possible something with the path I give? Maybe I cannot point to symbolic link or maybe I need to. I cannot find much info on how to structure that path and what I am suppose to see in that directory Thanks much Kirk ---

You forgot how QNAP works. On QNAP, all volumes have a `/share/CACHEDEVx_DATA` form (QTS) or `/share/ZFSxxx_DATA` form (QuTS) the root partition, where you put `/transcode` (were you thinking of docker??) would write to the actual root filesystem which only has 500 MB of free space. If you create a `transcode` shared folder on QTS, you’d tell PMS `/share/transcode` ---

Side note: using a RAID 1 (mirroring) for the transcoding temp folder is a pretty useless exercise. I think you can find a better use for the second drive. ---

I did, but I have the /path wrong. /transcode is the share, however the path under the covers is /share/CACHEDEV2\_DATA/transcode.
