# Question about Temporary transcode directory

Server Version#: 1.41.3.9314-a0bfb8370  
Player Version#: N/A  
Version for Plex on docker: 1.1.13  
Train: Stable

I am using TrueNAS and running Plex as a docker container, was wondering the value of the temporary directory for transcoding should be. The recommendations by Plex say ` **Warning!** : You should not specify a location that resides on a network share/disk. Also do not specify a location that is within any of the libraries media path locations` I have it currently in my Plex app set to `/transcode` but I do not see a location under the root direcotory or within my plex dataset.

So I don’t think this folder directory is doing anything, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
