Questions about initial setup of media libraries in PLEX

Hi All,

I just downloaded Plex yesterday. I am, admittedly, not the most tech savy guy. I am trying to set up media libraries in Plex. I have a MacBook Pro laptop, which is acting as my Plex server. I also have AppleTV 4. I set up a TV show library and downloaded 1 episode of Golden Girls (haha) that I had purchased from iTunes. When I go onto the AppleTV Plex app it shows under recently added television, but when I click on it and click play it does not play. And after several times clicking play I get the attached error message. I know there is something I am not doing right in setting this up. I have attached screen shots from my AppleTV. Can anyone offer advice as to (generally) save files into TV and Movie libraries correctly? I would appreciate any help! Thank you! Roger

Video files you bought from iTunes have DRM protection on them and cannot be played on any thing but Apple made apps.

Thanks so much for that! So basically, I can only have TV shows and Movies in my libraries that were free downloads. Correct?

free downloads without DRM. You can rip your DVDs/Blurays if you have them like folks rip music CDs to file. If you have the equipment you can use PlexDVR to record from over the air broadcast antenna
