# rasplex 1.6.1 + Airplay

Hi,

I’m wondering whether anyone’s managed to get an iOS 9.3 device to Airplay something to rasplex 1.6.1. There is an improvement vs 1.0.3 in that the Rasplex rpi appears as a device on my iPhone as a speaker and can be selected, whereas before it would not, and the iPhone thinks it is actually playing, but nothing happens on the rasplex device (the screen remains that of the main menu and no sound comes out over HDMI).

If I use something like Airfoil on my Windows machine, it works just as it should.

AirPlay is still broken unless you have a device with iOS6.

No date for when, if ever, this will be fixed.

Saying that something has changed for the better since I can now see rasplex on my iOS 9.3 device and I couldn’t before. And I was talking about AirPlay audio of course. Don’t care much for video.

Sorry to come back to this, but is there some way of swapping Rasplex’s Airplay behaviour between the two modes (video iOS8 vs audio-only iOS9) which is supported by Kodi Jarvis as explained [here](http://kodi.wiki/view/Kodi_v16_(Jarvis)_FAQ#AirPlay "here")?

Is there some setting in guisettings.xml?
