# Recently added TV shows

Just over the last two hours, my Recently Added TV Shows, started displaying shows that were added Months, if not Years ago, as “new” Recently Added TV Shows. It has/ had been working fine for a very long time. The only thing that I did tonight was add a New TV show folder to the TV Shows Library on a different NAS with 2 newly recorded TV Shows. Any ideas?

Did you have to edit the library several times, in order to re-add a path which got omitted after the first edit?  
If you remove a folder path from a library, the items in that path get immediately removed from the library.  
And after you re-add the path, they get ingested “as new”.

Another possible snag: if your media are not stored inside the Plex server machine, you never want to activate this checkbox:  
Settings - Server - Library - “Empty trash automatically after every scan”

I just added a new path to a different NAS. These were new TV shows that I never had in any library. I will uncheck that box. I never had to before and I have never had my media on the same box as my Plex server.
