Refresh Metadata for a single item doesn't work, but Refresh All Metadata for an entire library does

Waiting for new log. Just that error doesn’t mean anything. In your previous log, that was also there, but it was after it decided to use the cached copy already, so this wouldn’t have mattered.

Although it is possible that the source you’ve chosen doesn’t have the data needed, so Plex is looking for the backup data and can’t find it (the error you posted). That’s why you get some, the stuff from the source, but not others, the backup that can’t be reached. Can you tell be what continent you are in? There have been some reports of metadata issues from users in Europe.

Attached is a screenshot with before & after. Ran ‘ls’ command to display everything inside the caches folder, then ‘rm -r *’ to remove everything, then another ‘ls’ to show that the folder is now empty. Tried to update the metadata for an episode of Tosh.0, but still nothing. After it attempted the update, I see that some of the caches have been created again.

Any thoughts on what else i could try? I noticed after a few attempts, it actually tries to fetch the metadata from source rather than cache.

Task for updateepisodes and downloadimages start and end log outputs seen.

I don’t know why it doesn’t work for you. It might be something specific to running on FreeBSD. I don’t use that. I’ll have to find someone on the team that does and see if they get the same result.

Im running on Ubuntu Server 18.04.1
