Hello – I just update the ID3 tags for many mp3 files. When go to the update item I don’'t see the update ( updated cover art) – I tried refreshing the library bit that did not work

Is there a way to get the (plex) server to read the new tags?

This is, unfortunately, a long-standing bug in Plex. It has been around so long, the workaround has acquired a name, the ‘[Plex Dance](https://forums.plex.tv/discussion/comment/908454/#Comment_908454 "Plex Dance").’

Bear in mind, this workaround isn’t perfect. If you’ve made manual changes to the tags _in Plex_, or if you’ve added music tracks to playlists, these changes will be lost.
