Has anyone gotten PlexSync working with MythRecordings recently with an iPad? I get 'syncing this item is not allowed' whenever I hit the little down-arrow. Yes, I'm a plexpass subscriber...

This looks great, I just read the wiki features and saw that you want to achieve deleting recordings. Check out this similar project for Windows Media Server (WMC). http://jobbos.com/wmc2plexit does provide scheduling recordings and deleting recordings. - May be interesting.

Is it possible to include the recording date in the information displayed for each recording?

Currently going to the 'Recodings by title' section shows tvshows in folders with the latest episode first. Could you add an option for sorting changin the display order (latest first/oldest first)?

I have been using the mythtv plugin for a while to sync mythtv shows down to my tablet for watching on the road/planes. Recently, I went to sync some shows, and I don’t seem to have the ability to sync in the plugin at all. I can sync regular files in plex just fine, but it disappeared in the mythtv plugin. Any suggestions? I was using 0.4 and tried upgrading to 0.5 but no change.

Great plugin, I use it a lot…two things that I would love to see is support for cut-list and remembering where I left off in a recording if I don’t finish watching a show.

I figured out a way do LiveTV with the API. Since I have still yet to learn python. I did a prototype as a simple shell script, Attached.

If we can get “What’s playing” from the /Guide/GetProgram API. Then record and start a HTTP Live Stream

Of course we would have to delete the recording and stop the stream when we change channels. I’ve at least managed to prove to myself it’s possible with the APIs alone

OK Here’s My first stab at LiveTV. (I’ve never written python so be gentle). Not great but a starting point.

Here’s how it works.

Edit livestream.sh to match your setup.
Add livestream.sh as “System Event” “Recording started writing” to MythBackend
Install the .bundle the normal way.
Set the preferences for the Myth Service API URL as well as where you HLS stream is, in most cases this will be the same as the API URL. I put Apache in front of my stream so I could get to it from the Internet.

Now, every time a recording starts an HLS stream will be accessible from Plex.

I figured out how to get a simple Program guide in Plex. However, I have yet to figure out how to make Plex add it as an HLS stream on “play”

I can’t possibly be the only one sitting next to their computer hitting f5 every hour to see if this gets made into a nice little easy to install bundle soon AWESOME work! I don’t use Plex as much as Kodi, but I’d love to install this for testing purposes if that’s needed.

Installed the plugin on my UnRaid Docker based version of Plex, it pulls the content and meta from the VM Mythbuntu instance perfect. Thanks for the development.

Install path of the Docker Plex instance on my host, your path will vary.
/mnt/user/appdata/plexmediaserver/Library/Application Support/Plex Media Server/Plug-ins

I’m also using unraid, and I installed the bundle where the rest of the bundles are. When I click it from within plex it says “This channel is not responding” what am I missing?

The only thing I changed in livestream.sh was the IP of mythTV.

I have Plex running in a docker on unRAID, as well as have MythTV running in a KVM. I have placed the livestream.sh file in /opt/livestream inside of the MyhTV KVM. I have added it as a System Event under Recording Started Writing. It is executable. I have changed the line in livestream.sh to match the server IP and port (I have also tried 127.0.0.1). I have edited the DefaultPrefs.json file to reflect the correct IP of Myth as well. But when I try to click the icon in MythTV in plex I still get “This Channel is not Responding”
