# Release Type should be a visible, editable field

The Release Type feature in Plex Music is great, but I firmly believe the Release Type tag should be visible and editable in the UI.
Now, I know I can update musicbrainz and wait for propagation, or I can add the tag locally using a third-party tag editor. But I feel this is actually a UI and organisation issue rather than a tagging issue, and there’s precedent… I can already edit the Album Artist - if musicbrainz thinks Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart actually rose from the grave to record a CD then I can correct that to credit the much-more-alive London Symphony Orchestra. Or I can edit the Original Date field to reflect the release date of the new Remastered Version of a disc I have ([although that is broken right now](https://forums.plex.tv/t/plex-music-library-date-sorting-weirdness/796464)).
I should be able to easily group all my bootlegs by selecting them, clicking edit and just setting their Release Type. Or fix those times when musicbrainz holds that something is a Compilation when I disagree - two classic albums rereleased on a single new CD, for example, is not a compilation!
Or, if I really wanted to I should be able to categorise my albums completely arbitrarily - by personnel changes, label eras or whatever. It’s my collection - let me organise it how I’d prefer…
