# Remote access doesn't work anymore

A friend gave me remote access to his library. It worked well for a few weeks then stopped. It is written the remote PC is not accessible. But nothing has changed for it. And other people have remote access. I only have the message “the remote server in not connected”. I’ve been searching for a solution but impossible to find. Thank you for your help.

There’s not much you can do. The server owner is the only one who would know why you might be having trouble

There are limits a person can set for bandwidth, number of transcoded streams or even disabling transcoding altogether

The only thing I can think of you doing is increasing the remote streaming to Original or Maximum in the settings

If there’s some kind of transcoding limitation you might overcome it by creating a direct play

If his server is not accessible at all this won’t help you ofc
