Server Version#: 4.63.0
Player Version#: 2.4 / 5.25.2

Hi for some reason on my 2016 Samsung TV I can’t connect to my server. I have internet, reinstall the app and pc service yet come unable to connect. Strange this on another newer Samsung TV (2018) on the same wired network running platform 3 works fine. Have you disabled platform 2.4? 2.4 platform worked find up until about 5 days ago.

> UPDATE: It appears that all Tizen-based Samsung sets are likely affected by the cert change and will thus need the app and server configured to allow insecure connections. These devices are no longer supported by their manufacturers, and won’t be receiving an update needed to continue making se…

They give you a temporary way to make it work. It may work today, and break forever tomorrow.

No, it won’t get fixed. No, there won’t be an app update to your TV to fix it. Ever.

They give you a workaround which leaves your systems communicating in an unsecured way which can lead to your data being intercepted.

The plain and simple of it - Do not rely on the “smarts” of your TV to drive your media experience. Ever. The whole smart TV thing is a complete waste, and they’re terribly implemented, and their support window is beyond pathetic.

Buy a media streaming dongle, such as a Roku, Chromecast, Firestick, or AppleTV and use those until you need to upgrade them. You don’t need to buy a new TV.

Yes I am hip!!, I had to send this work around to friends and family who connect to my server. I hate tv apps, I use a hp mini running win 10 to connect to my tv.
