I just subscribed to Plex Pass and the remote access setting keeps going red on me. I click the “try again” button and it turns green. But after a while it goes back to being red again. I have a UniFi network using a UCG Fiber router with a Mac Mini M4 and have the plex server setup on my Ugreen NAS under docker. I believe I have port 32400 forwarded. Guess I need to see a example of the port setting.

It might be worth your container network configuration. If it’s not using the host’s network, you’ll need to manually configure a separate “forward” from the host to the PMS running in your container.

Beyond that – have you already verified your port forward is visible from outside your home network (e.g. using a service like [canyouseeme.org](http://canyouseeme.org)). While testing this… also compare the public IP seen from outside your home network to the WAN IP of your router. If they don’t match, you might be in a CGNAT situation where your ISP isn’t giving you a publicly routable IP address (which makes things tricky).

> When it comes to remote access, there’s a lot of different factors which can impact your setup. Some are under your own control, others not so much. First off… there’s a dedicated [support article on troubleshooting your remote access](https://support.plex.tv/articles/200931138-troubleshooting-remote-access/). I strongly recommend you have a look at that. Find below some additional remarks on how to troubleshoot your remote access setup. Review your internet access / remote access configuration It’s good practice to review if Plex gets the correct public IP address…

Thanks for the input. I finally got everything working. I didn’t have the port forwarding setup right. [Canyouseeme.org](http://Canyouseeme.org) says it can see me now. 🙂

In addition to the comments by tom80H, here’s a screenshot from the Unifi config.

WAN Port: External port you set in plex
Forward IP Address: Your Plex server
Forward Port: Always 32400, regardless of what you set in Plex
Protocol: TCP

In addition to the port forward, you need to reserver the IP for your server so it doesn’t change. Go to your device listings, select your server, cick the settings wheels and select fixed ip.
