Server Version#: 1.16.3.1402

how can I remove the old user data from my windows Plex server? my server still has user data from removed users. I would like to remove all user data and start over. can that be done without losing my media metadata? where does Plex store the user data? is it mixed in with the media data or is it in a separate database? thanks I hope someone can help me I’d hate to have to rebuild my server from scratch just to remove all the old user and user info.

> You will be needing either the SQLite tools (command line) or you use any other GUI SQLite editor. I use [sqlitebrowser.org](http://sqlitebrowser.org) You must stop Plex server from running before doing any manipulations on the database. (on Windows, ‘Exit’ Plex server using the tray bar icon. Closing the web browser window is not enough!) Make a backup copy of the DB file before you do anything. It can’t hurt to perform the ‘DB check’ steps from the ‘repair database’ procedure before doing anything else. [https://supp…](https://support.plex.tv/articles/201100678-repair-a-corrupt-database/)
