# Replacing my current Plex setup with Plex in Docker on Synology

I initially tried installing PMS in a docker but it wouldn’t connect and I fought it for days trying to figure it out. I am Linux illiterate and I see the need to learn.
I loaded PMS directly into our NAS, but when I did I wanted to keep trying to make it work in Docker. I’ve done a lot of sorting of libraries in Plex and my question is “If I get the docker up and running will I have to recreate my video libraries again in Plex”?
I’m not an well versed in Synology or Plex, but my gut feeling is if I load Plex in the Docker, then I will have to recreate everything. I believe two servers can run in Plex, so if that’s the case I would have time to structure everything in the Plex Docker and then ultimately delete the other server.
In the meantime I will embark upon a Linux educational quest.
