It would be a helpful feature to be able to create folders similar to what the TV Shows agent does but for use with generic video files. For instance, I have a bunch of Andy Kaufman videos that I want to be accessed from clicking on a single Andy Kaufman poster, as opposed to seeing 100 of them with video stills as icons fraternizing everything else in the current Library folder.
I think this feature has the potential to help tidy things extensively.
Interesting - but when I click on the checkbox all I see happening is the watch status turning off (as if nothing was played). I don't see the boxes that are supposed to appear.

No boxes will apear.....
(Doc is a tad outdated, but thanks for pointing it out)
I see the filter now and they are all in there but I wish I could hide the posters for each of these from the main library. The idea is to clean the main library up so I will have one poster for all of these in this specific collection as opposed to one for each... right?

Not covered by collections, sadly....just wanted to provide you with a potential workaround
While I disagree with your sorting methods I think unlimited customization should be important but think this most closely reflects the box-set feature request. A single icon for any number of movies. https://forums.plex.tv/topic/115803-movie-collections-poll/
