# Request: Round Robin Playlist Generation

Hey,

I rather enjoy creating custom playlists, particularly interleaving content from multiple sources together. For example, Chiikawa and Naruto alternating episodes makes for a joyful watch.

Could we get some tools like this for playlist generation?

In the Playlist menu, we could offer a new Generate Interleaved Playlist button:

Generate Interleaved Playlist prompts the user to select one or more sources (collections, playlists, folders, TV series, etc.) and a name for the playlist.

The resulting playlist is automatically populated by iterating round robin between the sources, adding videos like that one at a time, until no sources have any further videos to contribute to the playlist.

There’s probably a way to accomplish the same via Greasemonkey scripts, though that would be fragile, breaking repeatedly as Plex Web’s DOM tree continually redesigns over time. A dedicated frontend feature for this would be most welcome!
