I would like to be able to type in the name of an actor or director in the search field and generate a list of all media they have participated in.        I know that this can be done through the filter system but when you have 1500+ movies in your library using the filters to search for actors gets a bit cumbersome. (thats a lot of scrolling to get to Robert Downey Jr.)   Also! I have noticed when you use the filter system you **ONLY GET** the **MOVIES** that actor has been in. For instance, Billy Bob Thorton just appeared in an episode of The Big Bang Theory but when I go to movies\>filter\>actor\>BillyBobThorton I am only shown the movies in my library he has appeared in.    Some actors, say Joseph Gordon Levitt, have acted in movies, tv shows, directed movies, have writing credits etc. I think it would be very beneficial to be able to search a persons name FROM THE HOME SCREEN and receive a collection of everything they have participated in.    I do really enjoy using the filter system for searching by genre, collections, resolution... but for actors/directors it seems like it would be easier to just run a search.       I apologize if there is already a thread requesting this feature somewhere, I looked but was unable to find anything.  ---

I also think this would be a useful feature. I just found myself wanting to search for a movie for which I couldn't remember the name but knew an actor in it. I was surprised to find this didn't work. ---

Basically, just copy what PlexConnect does on the Apple TV. It's amazing. I thought it was a standard Plex feature before I switched to PHT. ---
