I have the exact same problem on my Samsung UE40J550
Server version 1.15.6.1079
Player version 2.012

The latest Beta version of the server has a fix for this issue

The Beta is not an option for me. This is a recent development. NEVER happened before.

It’s not beta anymore. 1.15.8.1198 was released and includes the fix.

I figured out what was causing the problem: When I upgraded my Plex Media Server to Version 1.15.6.1079 I experienced the “Resume Play” problem and a plethora of others. Reinstalled Plex Media Server Version 1.14.0.5470 (got it at https://mac.filehorse.com/download-plex-media-server/11242/) and all is good as new. Of course, I use a Mac. If you are on “The Dark Side,” e.g., Windows, I’m not sure if that will apply.

Sorry, my bad, I assumed that since it was not beta anymore it was available on the public channel.

I didn’t understand … this fix :
"Certain clients (third party Samsung and OpenPHT) would fail to resume video
is it included in the Plex Media Server 1.15.8.1198 ?
