I have a few folders that have several movie files in them but plex says the folder is empty. I have many folders and this is very rare. Only 3 of many are empty. The file format is mkv but I have others in that format that show up just fine. Doesn’t matter what I do or where I put the files they will not show up. Is there something I am missing about these files that I am doing or not doing that keeps plex from seeing them?
They might have been labeled as duplicates of another movie. Check for duplicates, or for mismatched movies.
Try to do the Plex dance with the videos. Take them out of view of the library, tell the library to scan for files. Empty trash. Add the files back to the folder. Re-scan. See if that works.
