Why are Plex app screensavers on smart TVs stuck in non-customisable 1980s bouncing tennis game mode? Surely someone in Plex development realises how useless the current screensavers are.
And while I’m on the subject why is the app music playing screen so ugly and, again, uncustomisable? i have written a browser page using the web API that is much mire elegant, why not ket people hook such personal efforts into the app via a customisable screen saver URL?

If screen savers are useless, why do you seem to want to run one? On my Vizio, under Plex, I run the photo screen saver. That’s customizable in a way.
Music playing in the background, that’s configurable too.

Well obviously I do not want to run one. I want to run something that presents nicely when I a, playing music via the smart TV Plex app or when I have the Plex app running but am not currently playing anything. ATM I resort to browser when playing music be ause then I can use my aforementioned custom screen saver / now playing webpage in another tab.
Guess I did not clearly differentiate between a “screensaver” and a “now plating” display, sorry, I really meant the latter

PS I know about the photo library thing. It might be OK for the “currently idle” scenario but is not a “ now playing” option
