Hello!
I currently have a Plex server running inside of docker on my network which is hosted on a Mac Mini. The base OS is Ubuntu Server. I have not had any issues running this way for the last 2 years or more.
Mac Mini Local IP: 192.168.1.249
Recently I purchased a new server to replace the old Mac Mini, the replacement server is a Dell T3610 with 32GB RAM, 120GB SSD (OS/MISC Drive) and a 2TB HDD for Movies/TV Shows.
Dell Server Local IP: 192.168.1.4
Using Docker, I can get the Plex container installed and I see that it is running when I view it under Portainer. When I go to either local IP’s I can see the Mac Mini Plex server running as normal, but for some reason the Dell Server continuously shows UNAVAILABLE. I have tried creating a new Plex account and creating the Plex Container again, same issue.
I would like to complete the Plex Setup for the Dell Server prior to disconnecting and destroying the Mac Mini Plex Server.
I may be missing important info in this post that will help troubleshoot the issue but I’m fairly new to docker and servers. If needed, with help and I can provide the information that is missing from here.
The search results show this issue with Windows and Linux but it doesn’t involve Docker so I am unsure how to proceed.
