# Server is unclaimed / Server settings unavailable

it’s the holidays, and while those are frustrating, Plex has been fixing some things.  
I’d like something to work for you. Please try out the latest beta, [1.30.1.6497](https://forums.plex.tv/t/plex-media-server/30447/547)  
It has a fix for MacOS that might help.

I also crafted a [how to do a clean install of PMS on a Mac](https://forums.plex.tv/t/pms-1-29-2-6334-mac-install-fails-on-10-14-6/816550) as part of reporting this bug.  
If you backup your `~/Application Support/Plex Media Server` directory,  
then you can install cleanly and restore your DB later if you have watched states.

If something doesn’t work, screenshot the issue!
