# Server not loading

I have seen many people asking about this issue but not found any fixes.
My server works for a while and then the next day wont load . I just keep getting the “Getting Ready”
message.
When I log into the TV app it say Not Authorised.
I have deleted and re installed 3 times but it always ends up doing this.
I have tried all the suggestions in the forum re deleting registry files. I have tried claiming the server from the plex folder but still nothing. I have disabled all virus software . This has been happening for months
Can anyone please help?

On what platform / version of PMS are you experiencing this? Does it persist if you temporarily disable your firewall and security tools / blockers on the server machine?
Your [server logs](https://support.plex.tv/articles/200250417-plex-media-server-log-files/) might show some more details of what’s going wrong.

Hi Tom,
Im running on windows 10…I have disabled all firewall and security tools.
I recently tried this fix which to the registry which worked for 2 days. but now its again not authorised.
I tried to find [server logs](https://support.plex.tv/articles/200250417-plex-media-server-log-files/) and is this what you are looking for?

Sorry, but that’s the a piece of the client log… check out the [server logs](https://support.plex.tv/articles/200250417-plex-media-server-log-files/) link for instructions on how to obtain the logs of the server (either through the web app or your file system).

You can attach the zip file you get when downloading the logs (or zip the logs folder and attach it here).
At least the `Plex Media Server.log` file and its numbered versions…

Based on your logs it appears Plex is talking to their backend due to some certificate problem (Plex unable to confirm the local certificate).
A number of questions…
- what’s the DNS you’ve setup on your system? does the issue persist if you switch to Google’s DNS (`8.8.8.8` or `8.8.8.4`)?
- have you installed an own custom certificate for Plex?
- same result if you’re using [http://127.0.0.1:32400/web](http://127.0.0.1:32400/web) (on the same machine) or [https://app.plex.tv/desktop](https://app.plex.tv/desktop)?
- Windows is fully updated? (it appears you’re on Windows 10 22H2, version 19045 – but not sure about the exact build → according to MS homepage, latest build should be 19045.3693)
- Any VPN or anti-virus tools you could temporarily disable to test if this might be involved in your issue?
- Is this possibly a company/corporate device? Those tend to come with specific policies that might interfere with certificate authentication (e.g. blocking local certificates)
- Same result if you’re using a different browser / on a different machine?

So just an update.
I logged out of both my server App.plex.tv/desktop and at [http://127.0.0.1:32400/web/index.html#!/](http://127.0.0.1:32400/web/index.html#!/)
Re logged in first at server then in browser. and it works again.
This usually is ok for 2 to 3 days and then suddenly it does it again.
I checked my DNS and its 8.8.8.8
Im not even sure what a custom certificate for Plex is so I doubt I have installed one.
My windows says its fully updated .
Its not a company device
I dont have a different machine to test on…

So I just tried my server today and it is saying not authorised again.
Its funny how it lasts a couple of days and then lock me out?

Hi Tom,
Plex server is once again back today, not sure what happened overnight. I left it hanging with Initializing and it must of finally gone through.
I noticed on my Server Settings that it says **:Version 1.32.5.7516 Something went wrong. [Please install manually.](https://www.plex.tv/media-server-downloads)**
This is odd as I have uninstalled and re installed Plex server a couple of times and have used the latest download Version…
**The only recurring event I can see is**
License Activation (slui.exe) failed with the following error code:

Not an expert… but it seems consistent with the error you get in Plex and that „something“ is messing with the connection to those authentication/certification systems.
Based on Microsoft‘s homepage the error you found in the event log means that the OS fails to find/connect to their key server. This can be a bad DNS configuration or e.g. out-of-sync server/PC times. Their KB gives some additional steps on how to verify / troubleshoot (e.g. verifying/syncing time settings).

We have seen this error before when the system time is wrong
`(60, SSL peer certificate or SSH remote key was not OK) (SSL certificate problem: unable to get local issuer certificate)`
Could that be the cause - we mention it as possible reason on this support article [Plex Media Server can’t sign in to Plex account or be claimed | Plex Support](https://support.plex.tv/articles/203841316-plex-media-server-can-t-sign-in-to-plex-account-or-be-claimed/)
There appears to be still a problem - because the Plex Media Server has not managed to get to plex.tv to give it the current installed version. plex.tv still thinks you are running on 1.32.5.7516-8F4248874

I do not think so
Check that you have a time source for the server that works and that the right timezone is set
