Server not showing all episodes of series and was there before

I have a problem that i cant figure out not all my shows i have are showing in the plex server when they were there a few days ago

Do those missing episode resurface if you manually scan your library (in the library context menu: ⋮ > Scan Library Files)? I take it you’ve verified the files are still on the share connected to your Plex Media Server?

no they dont

i had to reinstall windows and the server yesterday they were there before that now they are not

Can you confirm the actual files are still in place?
If you setup your server from scratch… have you verified they’re not mismatched and incorrectly merged with other items (e.g. by filtering for duplicates)?

I assume this is about a library of yours and not some shared library from a friend or the Plex video on demand?

it was set up correctly and nothing is duplicated

Mind sharing e.g. how the missing files are structured / named (folder linked to your library to the episode)?
What kind of files are those?

Plex will only recognize files that match the naming schema for the library type they’re assigned to.

If this is about a tv-show, verify that your files/folders match that schema.
Example:

TV Shows   <- the folder linked to your tv-show library
  Show Name
    Season XX
      Show Name - sXXeYY - optional arbitrary text.ext
      Show Name - sXXeYY.ext   <- without the arbitrary text
      ...

Where XX is the season number, YY is the episode number and .ext is the file extension (e.g. .mp4).
There’s some wiggle-room here and there – but the closer you stick to that schema, the better your success adding those files. If your library is using the Plex TV Series scanner/agent you can optionally include the year the show aired for better matching or even include a reference to an online database such as IMDb or TVDb. Though… given the files aren’t showing at all, we’re still dealing with the scanner – not yet with mismatched items.

You might have gotten „lucky“, hitting a spot when Plex for whatever reason let your particular deviation from their naming schema slip.

take a look everything is named correctly on my hdd every show has had all the episodes show on plex before i had to reinstall now they are not i haven’t renamed any of them you can see how many are missing
