When is this going to be fixed ? I have tried putting the latest version on and it still does this…
running on Mojave 10.14 with Plex Version 1.29.2.6364-6d72b0cf6

I cannot change any settings on this server I had to resort to using another mac and a new copy of Plex to use a new hdhomerun because I cannot set anything up on my old reliable Plex machine (mac pro cheese grater 5,1 )

Thanks

if you are updated to 1.29.2 then there is info here on a revised claiming procedure

> Starting with Plex Media Server v1.29.2, Plex is changing the default behavior of the server on macOS. Servers will now, by default, need to be claimed (i.e. signed-in to a Plex account). Coinciding with this new requirement, we’re also making some changes to the process for claiming a server. Due to this, the old method of claiming a server will no longer work (simply opening the local, bundled Plex Web client will no longer give access to claim the server). We’ve simplified the process of clai…

I opened the Setup plex.html and it said initializing and a spinning symbol then after awhile gave me this message “Something went wrong. Make sure the server is available and try again.”

So I also tried the enableLocalSecurity to “false” and that does NOT help either …
super frustrating …

I am having the same issue as the OP. I am running Plex Media Server 1.30.0 on a 2012 Mac mini under Mojave 10.14.6 and I started getting the “_Server settings are unavailable_.” error a short while back. I have tried logging out of Plex and logging back in, I have tried the method described in the other article (“open Setup\ Plex.html”) and, after it put up “_Initializing Plex Media Server…_” with a spinning cursor for a while, I got an error doing that.

What else can I do? Where are the Plex [server logs](https://support.plex.tv/articles/200250417-plex-media-server-log-files/) that I can look at to find out why it is throwing this error? Why can’t I log in to my lifetime Plex Pass account and tell it to (re)claim my Plex server? ¯\_\_(ツ)\_/¯

follow the post from nibbles… you need to 5put an older version of Plex on but clear some stuff first then do not update your server…

I get a “_Oops! That page doesn’t exist or is private._” error from that link. Maybe the whole thread was removed? 🤷‍♂️
