"Server Settings Not Available"

Thank you for the version information.
With this latest update Plex was completely broken for me.
I received “Server Settings Not Available” and all transcoding was completely broken.
I tried uninstalling/reinstalling, reparing, cleanup, etc. Completely busted.

With the version information in your post I was able to download that version, uninstall this one and reinstall the old one.

Now everything is functioning as expected again.

I love my Plex but I’ll be darned if I don’t have to uninstall it and roll back on nearly every update that comes out.
Auto-updates are now permanently disabled for this guy.
And before upgrading, I’m downloading the previous stable version to revert to when it fails.

Gracias!

I ended up doing a complete wipe and reinstall. It worked but it was a huge pain.

Had the same problem: for me the answer was that my library was on a seperate drive.
So, i uninstalled Plex, cleaned the registry, copied my library to the default place (C:\Users%username%\appdata\Plex…) and now all is runnig fine again.
Not my ideal installation, but it works again - soooo, OK.

I’m having the same issue and i’m not back up at all.

Looks like this issue has been ongoing for what, over 2 months?

I just finally updated (I usually hold off on updates because EVERY FRICKING TIME the update breaks my server). Lo and behold, I have this same issue. I’m going to stop giving Plex my money very soon here…

I fixed it. Resolution is below:

Essentially, I had moved my userdata folder to my media drive, in the root directory. In settings, you cannot have it look like d:, it must be d:\

However, since you can’t get into settings to correct this, you must go into the registry. It’s explained in the link how to do this.

The only solution so far is to reinstall?
It caught me too…

Please read the post directly above yours. There is no need to reinstall.

Well, I don’t have it on windows, nor did I change the settings location. I have in unraid and a docker.

Then you have a different issue.

You are right. I figured that i changed the config dir from /mnt/user/appdata/plex to /mnt/cache/appdata/plex

Even though it’s physically the same location, it doesn’t work. Just wanted to post the root cause, in case someone else gets stuck there.
