Server setup failing - Invalid Drive (Drobo 5N2)

I’m trying to install Plex on a Drob 5N2. I can’t seem to install it through their app library anymore, and now I’m trying a manual installation to the same root folder with media. But I’m getting a failure. What can I do differently to make this work?

Server Version#: 1.21.3.4015-a4be9cb8b

The place where you install the Plex server software is not identical to the place of where you store your media.

I am not aware of a version of Plex server which would be able to run directly on a Drobo.

Does this mean that Plex is no longer supported on Drobo? I was working for a year until it stopped one day.

Apparently, the Drobo uses an ARMv7 CPU and Linux. There is also a current version of Plex server for it available, I’ve learned.

However, your screenshot and the error message come from an installation of Plex server on Windows.
So please explain where you actually want to install your plex server.

Ah good to know! I want to install it on my Drobo 5N2 so that I can access the media at anytime, even if my computer is turned off.

I’ve been trying to solve this issue for months, so I’m getting a little desperate. Any help you can provide will make me very happy

I’ve moved this thread to the appropriate part of the forum.

I’m sorry, I don’t know the NAS platforms.
It appears you had Plex server already installed on your NAS, but this server hasn’t been “seen” by plex.tv since about 9 months.
Whether this means that it is currently uninstalled from there, or is simply deactivated, I cannot tell.

I can only point you to the download page for Plex server https://www.plex.tv/media-server-downloads/ , where you must switch the Platform selector to “Drobo” and download the right installer file for your NAS.

Then you’ll need to refer to the documentation of your Drobo, on how to install an app on there.
