# Server shows offline only on Android TV

Server Version#: 1.23.2.4656  
Player Version#: 8.18.2.25850

On the Plex app on my Android TV (Sony Bravia), my main server (Synology NAS) shows offline even though I can still access my content on my phone and the web client. I have my laptop configured as a second server; this one does show on Android TV.

Can someone help me fix this? I haven’t made any changes to the server settings.

Check the settings for secure connections. Make sure they align.

Server: Settings → Network → Secure Connections. Required / Preferred / Disabled

Plex App: Advanced Settings → Allow Insecure Connections. Never / On Same Network / Always

If, for example, the server is set to Required and the TV is set to Never, then the server will show as unavailable.

Hats off to you sir. Tried full reset of my roku and nothing was working.

On my Sharp Roku TV. I had to go to  
Settings-\>Advanced-\>Allow Insecure Connections —\> Always (was set on “On same network” for some reason)

Confirmed that worked for me as well! I don’t know how but it was set to Never.
