Server Shows Transcoding (AAC) even when AC3 is audio is selected.

Hello,

 

I notice on my Plex server that it says the audio is being transcoded from AAC even though I selected the AC3 sound track in the m4v format movie that I'm playing on PS4 using the Plex Pass application.  Is it really transcoding the AAC track in this?  If so, how can I configure the PS4 Plex Pass App to ensure it is sent the original AC3 track?

In the Plex app for the PS4, have you verified your audio settings, under Audio and Receiver Capabilities that Dolby Digital (AC3) box is checked?

I also have my plex/web player settings (advanced settings) set to Allow Direct Play of AC3 Audio box checked, and prefer AAC Audio unchecked, although that shouldent matter, but just in case...

then selecting the AC3 track, then play the MKV file provided plex is seeing an AC3 and AAC track on the same file.
