# Server won’t turn on

My external hard drive crashed the other day, and now I can’t get the media server to turn on. I’ve tried uninstalling updates, restarting the shield, and then installing the updates, I’ve also cleared the data. Any ideas? I had the hard drive setup as extended device storage, so clearly something in the app was lost when the drive crapped out.

Have you tried launching the Plex for Android client on the SHIELD after clearing the data? It should detect Plex Media Server and ask you to set it up again if the configuration is missing.
