# Setting To Disconnect Plex Volume Control

I love plex. We’re almost always watching something or allowing something to play in the background. We always cast to chromecast from the iphone app.

There is one major problem, while plex is playing from the phone, one cannot use volume up and down outside the plex app. If I put plex in the background and I try to volume up or down it, it stays locked at the current volume.

Pls allow a setting in the app to disconnect this, we use google home to control the tv volume.
