I’ve been asked by multiple people how to set up the PA-200 (or PA-500) firewalls to get Plex working.
There are a lot of configurations wrapped into it, but your main concern is NAT.
Here are some screenshots of my NAT rule that works for me:
Also want to make sure you have the firewall rule in place to allow connections in.
My “Media Server” group contains the Plex Port.

What else is in your “Media Server” group because I have set up my NAT policies identical to you and Plex still will not work. It temporarily establishes connection and the status goes “Green” then after a few seconds it shows “Red” and the error. I have a PA220 running 8.0.3-h4
The Plex port is the only thing in they group directly related to Plex.
I’m not sure where you live, but I was blocking everything outside of the US until one day my Plex broke and I realized Plex is using servers hosted out of the country. Now I just block the most nefarious countries so Plex (and other services) can continue to work. Not sure if this is related to your issue either.
Thanks. I’ll check my policies again but I don’t remember blocking anything (specifically cleared profiles trying to get this to work). I’ll have to check after I finish a few meetings today.
