# Setting up Plex Server on NVIDIA Shield

Hi. I will be moving my PLEX from my laptop to PLEX server on NVIDIA Shield which is connected to the router via ethernet.

I read somewhere it’s not good to have the server on an ssd. So do I need a separate hdd for my media and a separate ssd to be used as internal memory? And move some specific Plex folders over to the hdd? Or can I just use one hdd as internal memory and media storage?

Also, how do I transfer my windows PLEX data to Android Shield. Is it possible? My main concern is the covers that I had to hunt down for obscure stuff. Don’t care about watched history, etc.
