Why is Plex not addressing this major F-UP that everyone is complaining about. I have a lifetime plex pass and bought the shield pro on good faith that plex would put out a solid app. This is three major players Android, NVidia, and Plex and all I get is finger pointing. Look Localhost breaks the system and I don't want it ever at all never ever ever ever period the end get this fixed!!!! I want to set up my account and use it, sound simple, well it is not. I set up my account and it works for a few days sometimes a week. Then I get the message to do the localhost thing. If you say no all of your access is screwed and your only option is to dump and rebuild your plex/shield app... again. If you say yes your account gets erased and you are left with localhost. All of my remote access goes to crap and localhost is not available on my phone, PC, friends trying to access, and on and on. I look like a dumbass who can't manage a simple plex account. Hell nobody even tries to use my stuff since I switched because they are always locked out of it. HELP how can I stop my plex/shield/android for doing this!!!

Firstly tell you friends where to go - You are giving them something for nothing.

I do not get or understand you localhost issue.
And I must have missed everyone complaining about it!

I have a 2015 pro for 18 months and just sold my 2015 16gb.
I also have a 2017 pro.

Both of these are set up as servers ( back up to a windows 10 Skull NUC)
They both work reliably and I have never had the issue you are describing..
They both have static IP - Does yours?

Or something is broken on your system and if a total reset doesn't fix it I say it is hardware related

And I think this why you are upset
