Slow or Indirect Connection to Plex

I have viewed media on my WD MyCloud EX4100 through Plex for over a year now. Recently I switched to cable and a Netgear Nighthawk AC1900, and all is good speed-wise except for Plex. Now I can only make a prohibitively slow “indirect connection.” It now takes tens of seconds to load a library and watching it impossible. I have searched and tried to fix myself; but I'm not sure what else I to do. Might anyone have a thought or a suggestion? Many thanks in advance.

I had the same issue with a different router. Try going to canyouseeme.org and testing port 32400. If that port can’t be reached, troubleshoot your router, server, and player settings to make sure nothing’s blocking it.
