# Smart tv doesn’t connect to server

Hi guys,
I’m having an issue connecting my Hisense smart tv to my plex server and have tried looking at articles and adjusting my network settings but am still having no luck.

There is not much to go on here…
Has this TV recently worked with Plex?
Hisense has limited support, like most Smart TV.

If your Tv is not supported, your best bet is to purchase a third party device, like Roku, Apple TV or alike.

I have a Hisence TV and I ended up defaulting the TV to get Plex to work, however the 2016-2018 models do struggle with Plex as the don’t reconsider LAN from WAN and frequently transcode. I now use an Apple TV box, get a RoKu or chrome cast far more reliable

Thanks guys for responding, my tv up until just recently worked fine. I have an Apple TV as well which connects to the server just fine.
