Server Version#:1.31.0.6654
Player Version#: Windows Plex App, Plex for Android, Plex for LG WEb OS, Plex for Roku, Plex for FireTV **and** the Plex web app

I’ve reported this [before](https://forums.plex.tv/t/shows-missing-from-recently-released-episodes/793129), but it was closed because no one was interested (other than to say, “I’m not seeing that.” – which is not especially helpful unless they attempt to duplicate my configuration first.) Since my original report, the computer running my Plex server died and I had to rebuild it on a new machine.

Guess what?

I **STILL** have this issue! I just added last night’s (2/21/2023) episodes of “La Brea” and “The Curse of Oak Island” to my server. Both have the **Originally available** date set to **2023-02-21** , but only La Brea shows in the Recently Released Episodes list. Both show as _Recently Added_ (in their respective libraries).

This is a very frustrating issue because there are annoying work-arounds (like manually locating the new episodes), so it seems no one at Plex could care less about tracking it down and fixing it.

FWIW, I have quite a few different TV libraries: one for each decade, to help me find shows, plus one just for cartoons. The shows that are not appearing are in the 2010sTV library, while the shows in the 2020sTV library always appear just fine (to the best of my knowledge.)

Two places to check for the affected library
Make sure it’s not excluded from the home screen

 ![Exclude from Home screen](https://global.discourse-cdn.com/plex/original/4X/a/0/f/a0ff1855643854499ced51a294e4850d685a2def.png)

Under Libraries → Manage recommendations
If it is selected, deselect it and then reenable it

Thanks – I think. My setting for your first comment were correct (they matched what you showed.) My setting for the _second_ item though, did **not** have the _Home_ or _Friends’ Home_ items checked for **Recently Released Episodes**.

So I checked them.

At first, I did not see a change. The recently released list still showed only shows from the 202sTV library.

But then… I scrolled down a ways and discovered that I now had a _completely separate_ Recently Released Episodes list that contained only shows from the 2010sTV library!

To me, this is not a good or even smart thing. There should only be ONE recently released list for each media type (unless, perhaps we choose otherwise, but that would seem to be a rare thing.)

So now my problem is: How to I get the server to _combine_ all of the different _Recently Released Episodes_ lists into a single, useful list?

[EDIT] Oh, I was gonna attach an image:

Note that the different recently released lists are only identifiable by what they contain (and possibly what they’re near?)

Thanks! That was way off the bottom of my screen and I never expected any “special” settings to be “hidden” down there.

I’m now wondering how long it will take the server to apply this setting to my existing stuff, because it has been several minutes and a couple _client_ restarts (someone else is using the server, so I cannot restart it now.) Or must I now start doing the [Plex Dance](https://forums.plex.tv/t/the-plex-dance/197064) with everything recently added?

Usually you just need to restart the client or refresh the page for the changes to show

A server restart or [plex dance](https://forums.plex.tv/t/the-plex-dance/197064) shouldn’t be necessary

Is it showing the changes on the device you made the changes on? I assume your computer?

I’m using the Plex App on Windows. My Plex Server is running on a different computer a few feet away. I made the changes through the Plex app and have now restarted the app three times with no affect that I can see – except that the ‘Merge recently added items’ option is checked.

Hmmm… I just noticed that I’m concerned with _Recently Released Items_ and the setting is for _Recently Added Items_. Does that one setting affect **BOTH** types of list? If so, it might be good to mention in the little explanation below the setting.

No it only affects recently added items. The recently released items shouldn’t change

Are you making this change on Plex for Windows or Plex Web (a browser)?

Normally i have to close Plex for Windows to see the change or refresh the browser

I’m not sure why you wouldn’t see a change

I was looking for a change in _Recently Release Episodes_ and didn’t look closely enough at the setting until _after_ trying it out.

I now have a single _Recently **Added** TV_ list, neatly bracketed by two of my many _Recently Released Episodes_ lists. It looks stupid and kinda hides some new stuff from users who don’t ever try searching, but it is barely adequate.

Which is more than it had been before, so thank you very much! Now if the Plex developers would consider a similar option for Recently Released or making the existing setting do both…
