# Sorted title (sorting articles)

Server Version#: 1.21.0.3711  
Player Version#: 1.21.0.3711

Hey guys,

I read that there is a configuration file to change the sorting titles for the mediathek, but I can’t find it. I like to change the sorting with the german “Der, Die, Das” (like The, A, …).

I use a raspberry with the plex media server 1.21.0.3711.

That is the post I read, but I don’t know where to configure it ☹

I found many settings in the Preferences.xml. Is it correct, that I have to add the new line, so that the serie “The Big Bang Theory” is found under ‘T’?  
`ArticleStrings="The,A,An,Der,Die,Das,Ein,Eine"`

Can you please help?

The articles listed in the ArticleStrings property will be _removed_ in sort title fields in Plex. So if ‘The’ is in the property, “The Big Bang Theory” will appear under ‘B.’

If you want it to appear under ‘T,’ you need to remove ‘The’ from the ArticleStrings property. That will affect everything beginning with ‘The.’

The ArticleStrings property is not available in my Preferences.xml file. Is there another path than  
`/var/lib/plexmediaserver/Library/Application Support/Plex Media Server`

You can simply add the whole string.
