I click on the split button now my whole tv series library has been split. I was wondering if there was a way to reverse this. Library is huge and its split every series by folder ---

You could [restore an older backup of your database](https://support.plex.tv/articles/202485658-restore-a-database-backed-up-via-scheduled-tasks/). The alternative is to scrap the library and re-create it. But it makes me wonder: split is only done on duplicates. If you have arranged your files [exactly as recommended](https://support.plex.tv/articles/200220687-naming-series-season-based-tv-shows/), nothing should have been split. ---

I have restore database and it happened again I have deleted library and re-created I have uninstalled plex and re-installed Its separating season like season 1\season 2\ova\movies “Library is anime” The whole library is in this format Name of Anime\Season 1 \Season 2 \Specials Before i clicked split it added each folder “Name of Anime” as 1 thing So under plex it showed every season\ova\movie under 1 entry ---

Then you should probably not click on Split anymore. ---

i haven’t clicked it since the first time It seems to be doing it automatically now hence why i have come to the forums for a solution ---

If you are using the default Plex Scanner, this won’t work 1. Look up your show on [TheTVDB](http://thetvdb.com/ "TheTVDB") 2. Take the title as it is used on TheTVDB. If there is something in parentheses, take that too. If the title contains invalid characters (depends on your file system), like `§ : % *`, simply leave them out. 3. Check the [naming and the folder structure](https://support.plex.tv/articles/200220687-naming-series-season-based-tv-shows/ "naming and the folder structure") of your show. Name the top folder of the show exactly after the title on TheTVDB. No abbreviations. No additional subfolders. No aliases. Add the (year) in parentheses of when episode 1 of season 1 of this show was aired. 4. Name the episode files according to the above linked naming guide. Use the same title as for the top folder. `Show's Title (year) - s01e01 - additional info.ext` (’- additional info’ can be left out) 5. After you corrected the naming and folder structure, perform the [Plex Dance](https://forums.plex.tv/t/plex-incorrectly-identifying-tv-episodes/100265/4 "Plex Dance") with all files for this show. ---
