Should I use Episodes when naming Star Wars, Episode I, Episode II etc?

Plex uses the movie database for metadata so just name them like on their site:

> **[Star Wars Collection](https://www.themoviedb.org/collection/10)**
>
> An epic space-opera theatrical film series, which depicts the adventures of various characters

I’ve mine like this which matches TMDB as the previous comment suggests:

```auto
Star Wars: A New Hope (1977) {tmdb-11}
Star Wars: Attack of the Clones (2002) {tmdb-1894}
Star Wars: Return of the Jedi (1983) {tmdb-1892}
Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith (2005) {tmdb-1895}
Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back (1980) {tmdb-1891}
Star Wars: The Force Awakens (2015) {tmdb-140607}
Star Wars: The Last Jedi (2017) {tmdb-181808}
Star Wars: The Phantom Menace (1999) {tmdb-1893}
Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker (2019) {tmdb-181812}
```

To have the video files detected automatically with no input from your end, name the files based on the official titles on [TheMovieDB](https://www.themoviedb.org/collection/10). Then, once the movies are detected by Plex, you may click the **Pencil** icon for each title and have them show up however you like. I renamed them (in plex) using regular numbers, since roman numerals don’t sort alphabetically very well:

 ![Star Wars Collection](https://global.discourse-cdn.com/plex/original/4X/e/6/e/e6eb742455370ad0e98c49c8dc85a5e2818795cf.jpeg)
My collection sorts them by release date, so it ignores the names anyway. (I’m gonna change that right now)

If you use an odd file-name structure that Plex doesn’t recognize the files, you can STILL detect them manually by doing **Match…** or **Fix Match…** on the file in Plex. Once they are recognized by Plex, you can name them however you like to. You can name them **Bob** 1-9 if you want to once they’re matched in Plex.
