Start movie few seconds earlier than when stopped (resuming)

For some reason someone decided that the android client shouldnt behave like the other clients, so when a movie i stopped, and then later started again, it starts at the exact same spot. But all other players ive tried it starts a few seconds earlier when resuming.

i would like the android client (nvidia shield in my case) acts like the other clients and starts the movie a few seconds earlier when resuming.

You should already have an option to specify if / how many seconds playback should rewind before resuming a video.
