Status>Dashboard not availble on my server

Different menus in two servers same setup

I cannot find where is Plex console under manage it is working on my friend server mine is not although both are the same setup

I cannot find dashboard under status (shows chart in my friend) mine shows now playing
both plex are on synology nas with latest same version with plex pass

As for your actual question:
The new dashboard has 2 key prerequisites:

  1. Use of Plex Media Server 1.14.1 or newer
  2. Use of Plex Web 3.79(?) or newer

This version of Plex Web is currently only available in the hosted version (https://app.plex.tv/desktop) – it is not yet included in the version of Plex bundled with the latest public or beta Plex Media Server (PMS 1.14.1 contains Plex Web 3.77.4)!

the Console should be available with the latest version of the Plex Media Server independent which version of Plex Web you’re using.

Im very sorry don’t know where to post my question
I tried to search for menus didn’t find any
and forgove me im a newbie
cannot understand really what you mean

1- im using version 1.14.1.5488 which is the latest on both servers
2-i tired both clients webclient and plexclient for windows on my computer for myself and my friend and the menus are different on my server which does not show Console under manage not does it show dashboard under status (it shows now playing instead)
is there any setting that Im missing on my account (bec I have three servers Sysnology nas on my account for myself and son and daughter) he does not ! that is the only diff and in my three servers whenever I access the menus they are not like his

There’s 2 different ways to open the web client and each of them is using a different release.

  • There’s the “hosted” online version (https://app.plex.tv/desktop) – this is always the very latest version (currently 3.83.1)
  • and there’s the “local” version (https://your-pms-ip-address:32400/web) – this version is the stable version of Plex Web installed alongside your own server… it’s usually some releases behind (currently: 3.77.4)

As per your point… actually there’s yet another version of Plex Web… the version included in the very latest Plex Media Player (2.26.0) is at release 3.77.4 as well – however you’re right… no console embedded in the Plex Media Player.

Please check on both servers so we can compare:

  1. Settings > Web Client > General > Version
  2. Settings > [your server name] > Settings > General > Version

opened a different plex than the one im using
http://192.168.10.2:32400/web/index.html

don’t know the difference but https://app.plex.tv/desktop has status>dashboard
hope this helps any other newbie
