I've got 100mbit internet... And I'm yet to have 1 trailer play all the way through without skipping... most stop totally... I'm not sure where they're sourced from... But I'd prefer if we could specify to download them to somewhere first as it's basically useless as a feature so far.
I'm sure it's a routing issue, Basically they have crap bandwidth available to Australia... But still... Most people have a decent storage subsystem and could store a couple of gigs of trailers. They're not big after all.
they are licensed and cannot be downloaded. (plex is paying the content fees for streaming thats why only plexpass people get them). downloading is not part of the terms.
The content is coming from www.internetvideoarchive.com – maybe you could talk to them about the routing issues.
+1 for this. But rather than focusing on downloading them from the source Plex has chosen, maybe the option to "Opt-out" online trailers for individual movies so you can use only the local version (if you have already legally obtained said trailer ;p )
