# Streaming live "recordings".

Wondering what's the best way to deal with a "live"/"growing" video stream in a channel plugin.

&nbsp;

I think there's a better term for the stream I'm describing but it escapes me, so I'll take the long way around explaining it;

&nbsp;

You start a recording. &nbsp;From a PMS Channel plugin point of of view, it doesn't know how long the video will be. &nbsp;You can seek up to the ever shifting point currently recorded, but not past it.

&nbsp;

I'd like to be able to seek forward and backwards within the recorded portion, but not seek beyond the current end. &nbsp;Is this&nbsp;something&nbsp;that's easily&nbsp;handled&nbsp;in a channel plugin?
