# Stuttering when playing back 4k content through Windows Plex

Server Version#: Version 1.30.2.6563  
Player Version#:Version 1.62.2.3451-fb8ac0ae

Its not buffering but more like its dropping frames.

On VLC and Chrome it plays back perfectly fine.

In all cases its local direct play.

I have tried different video playback quality settings.

The connection is fine as the other applications can stream them just fine.

Would love some help. Its been very frustrating. Ive also tried disabling subtitles and it doesnt help.

Hardware Encoding is on. I have also tried it with off and that doesnt help either.

Of course im willing to share any relevant info that is needed.

I have same problem, great stream using VLC on to any TV in house.  
As soon as I try to use PLEX even on very low qualities, it buffers like mad.

Can someone give the correct settings to use PLEX to view movies.

I am a subscriber, Cat 8 links to all TVs. Only have problem with PLEX using 1080 mode and above.
