Subs disapearing after x minuts . ( Samsung Qled 65" Tizen TV )

Dear all .

First of all - Logs are made to Dev team and sample has been sent to to them .

Im running PMS 1.11.0.4666 on a Ubuntu 16.04 server .

After x minuts, even its its internal subs or external subs - my subs disapear . The only way I can get the subs back , is to press rewind for a very short period, then the subs come back.

It has been working without any problems, but it happend with some latest update, but from which version I dont know.

@sa2000 has been so kind to help me sending logs and etc to the Dev team, but I would like to hear anyone might know which version is actually working? Also how do I downgrade if I make a manually install without loosing my entire libraries .

I have testet back and forth, I have an older version of the Samsung model (2014) , Orcas version works perfectly without subs dying on me :slight_smile: .

Im shooting wide here since im a bit annoyed that my new tv cant play a single movie or tv show without loosing subs. And you dont have the option to force transcode on the Tizen Plex version.

All help would be appreciated - I doubt that im the only one in the entire world having a Tizen TV from Samsung that uses Plex :wink:

I’m having the same issue on web and roku now. ■■■■. Without subtitles, plex for me is useless…and it’s so hard to downgrade.

You are not the only one.
I’m having the same issue, but for me it applies to Chrome Cast v2 and iPad/iPhone.
Everything is running latest version. And changing burn-in-subtitles options have no effect.
After a couple of minutes the of playing a .mkv with .sub file the subtitles disappear. And if I try stop/ resume the movie, it stops with an error message:
“Playback was terminated by the server.
Conversion failed. The transcoded crashed or failed to start up.”

Note: .srt works fine, but converting with 3rd party tools is not an option for me.

So Plex devs. Is this a feature or a bug?
