# Subtitle Offset has disappeared on nVidia Shield

Yes if playback is transcoding the client is unable to change the offset of the subtitle. It only works for direct playback. I am unsure why it is transcoding though. If you are able to provide a [sample file](https://support.plex.tv/articles/201035968-generating-sample-files-from-media/) I can give it a test.
