# Support Doc for Database Cache Size (MB)?

Before folks go crazy increasing the cache size, the new 40MB default is a 20x increase over the previous value.

Previously Plex’s SQLite `cache_size` was 2000 _pages_, and Plex’s model database `page_size` is 1024 _bytes_. The end result was a SQLite cache size of about 2MB.
