I have created a thread [To ask Plex to change what is considered played for long audio files](https://forums.plex.tv/t/change-what-plex-considers-end-based-on-library/276631) and I hope it gets some traction.

But I really doubt it will have much effect or interest as audiobooks are a pretty small usage set for Plex.
